LAWS
-
Pedestrians have the right of way over cars on streets when crossing at intersections, and they must obey traffic signals and signs at those intersections.
-
If there’s no crosswalk, pedestrians should only cross a street at a right angle to the curb. It’s illegal to cross the street or an intersection diagonally.
-
Avoid walking or running on roadways with heavy traffic. If sidewalks are not available, take caution and walk facing traffic.
